I love fashion. It's an obsession of mine. I think you should have fun with fashion and not take it too seriously. And wear colour, colour, colour!

I love Versace more than any other brand and I like to talk about their clothes. Of course I was ridiculously excited about their collaboration with H&M but even I was not willing to queue up overnight and get into territory wars with strangers to buy some a few dresses.
Instead I tried my luck online and after numerous page refreshes and many hours I managed to get through and buy a dress, I checked back a few days later and they still had some bits available so I bought a second dress.
Luckily my parents are paying for one and it is being wrapped up and placed under the christmas tree so I haven't had to fork out a small fortune in one go.
Obviously once I tried these dresses on I realised I had no accessories that matched (well that's what I'm telling myself) so I think I'll need to go shopping and buy a pair of gorgeous shoe boots and perhaps and gold clutch.I love shopping...
When Lady Gaga announced a few months ago she would only be wearing Vintage Versace (meaning Gianni) for 2 months I became more than a little excited. These are the clothes, more specially prints, that made me love fashion. Of course, these looks are obviously old fashioned now but at the time, amazingness. Fresh, new, bright, colourful and bold. I think Lady Gaga was extravagent as always but remained true to Gianni's vision.
Recently though she has been spotted in some Donatella creations that are just flawless. I never thought I'd feature Gaga on my blog as I find her fashion stunts irritating but I have to say when she stepped out in these Versace pieces she did the only shocking thing left: look simple and gorgeous.
These three pieces were pure perfection for me and show how amazing Versace is. Simplicity is the key to Donatella's designs, they are not overly complicated but they are still beautiful. Simple accessories are all that are needed and Gaga's relaxed hair and make up are perfect. I even love the diva night-time sunglasses with these looks, Versace is high class so whoever wears it should embrace that to it's fullest.
My favourite look had to be the beautiful black dress with yellow and purple flower design, just so effortlessly stunning. She even pulls off black pumps to perfection (black are becoming a something of pet peeve when you see all the beautiful shoes on offer) but I suppose you can't go wrong with a Versace/Louboutin combination.
To quote Rachel Zoe... I die!
I know this is just as much a stunt as her meat dress was and caused just as many headlines but I still love it. If she continued dressing like this I'd be a much bigger fan.
This post is quite a few days late; due to computer issues, work and actually having a life I just haven't had a chance to blog properly.
Anyway, the Oscars were full of amazing dresses, amazingness at every turn. I love the Oscars, everyone takes the opportunity to go so OTT it is brilliant. So sifting through the numerous pictures I have compiled some of my favourite, least favourite and the most talked about to tell you what I think of them.
First up my absolute FAVOURITE dress comes from Miss Hailee Steinfeld, this 14 year old girl blew me away in this beautiful Marchesa gown. She looked like every little girls idea of a princess. I say every little girl...I of course mean me. If I could, I would wear this kind of a dress every day, but I don't have Marchesa giving me any dresses at the moment. This is so age appropriate without being too childlike, it is a real girl who is growing up and wants to feel like a princess. Even more impressive is that she helped design this, a very clever and fashion forward young lady who will be on our radar for years I am sure. I expecially love her cute alice band...again PERFECT!
I want to give a special mention Mila Kunis, she is topping best dressed lists all over the place and I see why. This stunning Elie Saab gown is just perfect for her and although she didn't top my list she certainly deserves a special shout out. I just think this dress is such a fairytale dress but in such a grown up way that the bit of edge that Mila has works so well with it. Love, love, love it and well done for making such a statement even though you weren't nominated!
Onto some of the other dresses I really liked.
Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott...breathtaking, I have such a soft spot for this woman anyway but she knocked it out of the park here. The blue sparkle of the dress and Emerald green jewellery go so well with her skin tone. A lot of people didn't like her jewelerry with this look but I have to disagree - I think it is exactly the OTT glamour that you can only do at the Oscars. Gorgeous.Anne Hathaway's final look of the night was a Versace stunner. The colour, the fit, the sparkle all beautiful. Easily my favourite of all her looks, Versace is always a winner.
Helen Mirren in grey Vivienne Westwood - a surprisingly perfect match. This woman looked flawless and she knows how to bring sophisticated glamour to the occassion. I want to look this good at her age.
Sandra Bullock in bright red Vera Wang, AMAZING. This was the perfect dress for her, she looked so amazing, so effortless and so beautiful. Her pale skin and black hair with the bright dress were so gorgeous together. Nothing I can fault here.
Now onto some of the looks I didn't really like. These are all dresses I know I should love but I just can't...
Halle Berry in Marchesa....I know I should love this. It's Marchesa, it has a gorgeous flowy train, it's so detailed... I just feel it is not very Halle Berry-esque. OK that sounds super dumb, but this girl is fierce and edgy and stunning and I feel like this gown just does not work on her. I just feel like it either needs so much more fluffiness to be totally OTT or get rid of the fluffiness altogether and have a simple streamlined dress, this is just too inbetween on her.
Jennifer Hudson in Versace. Again, after the Grammy's dress, I just cannot like this stunning dress on Jennifer Hudson. I lover her, I love Versace, it should be perfect. I just feel it looks ill fitting around the bust, like she's so heavily strapped in she can't breathe. Everyone loves her in this but I just can't, I think she needed something better fitting to be honest and I hate that because it was SO close! However I do think the colour is out of this world beautiful on her - who else can pull this off so brilliantly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you J Hud.
Marisa Tomei in a 1950s vintage Charles James from Lily et Cie couture has me kind of divided. I hated this purple (aubergine?) dress when I first saw it in pictures, ill fitting, 1980s prom dress is what came to mind. However, I then saw her moving in it in footage from the night and I loved it. It translated so much better on screen than in pictures and I couldn't believe it. I think this one is best in person and not in pictures taken in a hurry on the night. Plus it is literally a piece of history so I kind of like it even more for that.
Lastly, Melissa Leo in Marc Bouwer. This dress seems to be causing a big stur, some people love the lace cutout gown, others, like me, just do not get it. Again, I want to love this on her I really do but I just can't. She has a killer body and a beautiful face and I just think it is all overshadowed by a really odd dress. I feel she could have looked much better on her big night, however she loved it herself which is the main thing. I go on about gowns I don't like but really, as long as the wearer loves them, that's all they should care about!
If YOU feel like a princess then that's all that matters! A philosophy I think everyone should live by!
I think the Grammy awards last night definitely provided some unusual and different outfits on the red carpet, but I have to say I did not love most of the looks. Before I tell you about my least favourite looks, lets have a look at who shone at the awards.
My absolutely favourite look came from Rihanna and her Christian Dior Couture performance outfit. It took my breath away and was the perfect performance look for such a big awards show. She completely knocked it out of the park and did OTT in the best way!
Next up is Jennifer Lopez, the definition of DIVA. This is what she does best and no one does it quite like her. She sparkles, she smoulders, she seduces. Beautiful, bold and down right stunning. No one can mess with this diva. My last 'favourite' look comes from Katy Perry. This is something I should hate, it is so costumey and ridiculous but it is also very pretty and yes it is a bit mad, but Katy Perry always provides something a little shocking without going full on Lady Gaga on us. Plus anyone will to wear wings like that who are not out trick or treating or at the end of the Victoria's Secret catwalk get a big thumbs up from me. Now let's move on to my least favourite looks, I'm ignoring Lady Gaga as she just bugs me. All of these looks were adored by critics and viewers alike and I just did not get it.I am not terribly fond of Nicki Minaj's style, I don't much about her and her music isn't my style, but I find her a bit of a Lady Gaga wannabe and as I'm not that fond the lady herself, any copycats are even more annoying. I think this outfit is great as a high fashion statement but it is so OTT and attention seeking I just do not get it. There does not seem to be the sense of silliness and fun that I love about Katy Perry, she seems to be taking herself too seriously for someone who is basically in fancy dress. Maybe I just 'don't get' her.
Rihanna's red carpet look felt, again, too try hard. Her performance look shows me how she can do drama, OTT, couture and glamour so effortlessly, but this seems to obviously just scream "Am I wearing underwear? Have a look, go on, look" which personally I hate. She has an amazing figure and a brilliant sense of style that she doesn't need to play games like this to get attention. Again, maybe I just 'don't get' it! Last up is Jennifer Hudson. I want to love this, I really do. We all love J Hud and her amazing body transformation and amazing talent. I loved and raved about her through the infamous silver bolero at the Oscars, however this I really cannot get on board with. The colour is gorgeous, her skin, make up and hair are even more stunning but I just do not like the dress. What I hate even more is that this is a Versace dress, possibly the first one I have struggled so much with and it's such a pity Jennifer chose this. I really think she could have looked stunning in a million different dresses and I was very disappointed with this. I keep my fingers crossed for next time though. I really was overall a little disappointed by the Grammy's this year, I expected more Jennifer Lopez and less Lady Gaga but I fear that this is a trend that will continue. What do you think? Do I just not understand all this fashion or is everyone else just as bored of the attention-grabbing, extremely serious style of these stars?I've had my first look at the looks of the 2011 BAFTA's and I am impressed, pretty much everyone looked stunning but I have to admit I spotted my favourite looks VERY quickly. I want to share these with you and unsurprisingly Versace is up first...
The second I saw Jessica Alba I got VERY excited. I highlighted this Atelier Versace dress for it's striking colour and she pulls this off amazingly. I was a little disappointed that the fan detail on the bust was gone, but I do think it works for Alba and was the right decision. The hair and make up complimented the dress perfectly. Thandie Newton stood out on the red carpet, the bright pink strapless dress with an almost floral print literally took my breath away. The structure, the colour, the pattern, everything was perfect! However, I do keep seeing that black necklace and I am not fond of it at all, I think she would have looked much better without it. Emma Stone's is really coming into her own with her style. I loved her at the Golden Globes and I love her tonight, another beautiful classic and simple look and I love the red dress combined with the tan/nude accessories, extremely chic. I love this look head to toe and cannot fault it at all. I find Gemma Arterton's style a little up and down, but when she gets it right, she gets it amazingly right. A black dress with a giant blue bow across the waist is just so beautiful but quite fun as well. Not too serious but striking enough to been jaw droppingly beautiful. I find her hair a let down, but a rainy London night could be to blame.I think you'll agree that a bit of colour is a great to see on the red carpet and that the only black gown I chose had an amazing bold blue sash to break it up and make it less boring. So far awards season has been amazing, I cannot wait to see how it progresses.
Versace was the designer who made me fall in love with fashion from a young age and I still love the designers creations with as much passion. The Italian design house uses colour and texture amazingly well and creates beautiful silhouettes.
These are the images from the 2011 Atelier lookbook from the incredible designer and as always, they have blown me away. The beautiful Abbey Lee Kershaw looks jaw dropping in these amazing gowns.
The colours, the textures, the embellishments. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
The full length blue gown with beautiful fan detail on the bust is stunning and the colour is so striking.
I also absolutely adore the patterned mini dress. I love the jungle print, the super short skirt and the simple structure. Simply stunning.
My absolute favourite is the purple dress with the corset top and a skirt that looks almost like a puffball - that is an amazing thing. The colour fades as it hits the floor wish I absolutely adore. So subtle and beautiful - a modern day princess dress!
I think Versace dresses curves to perfection so for that reason I would love to see some gorgeous super stars like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Christina Hendricks rock these beautiful dresses.
Golden Globes coverage is EVERYWHERE and I thought I would put in my two cents on who I loved at the event.
First up Angelina Jolie, only one word for her - STUNNING. Emerald green and Versace (my all time favourite designer) is a combination that is difficult to beat in my opinion. I get so bored with Angelina in black or white that this real pop of colour was so nice to see. She really looks gorgeous, the colour with her skin and hair is just so perfect and you cannot go wrong with some sparkle! My only slight let down is that I really think Angelina could do with a little more weight on her, I think it would make her look her even more amazing.
Emma Stone has been on my radar for a while but she really shone at the Golden Globes, she reminded me why Calvin Klein has been around for so long. This peach dress is so classic but the colour makes it look so fresh and modern. She shows that covering up can still be super sexy and beautiful. I predict her turning into a MASSIVE style icon in the future.
Eva Longoria's dress seemed to get a lot of mixed reviews, but I love it. She looks so amazing in it and I think it shows that black can sometimes not be boring. The cut and fit of the dress are so fantastic on her and she has such a va-va-voom look about her. Drop dead gorgeous head to toe.
Olivia Wilde was the first star I saw on the red carpet and I actually gasped when I saw her, I do agree with numerous people who thought her hair was boring but that dress definitely over shines that. I pinpointed her as wearing my favourite dress and I stand by it. I cannot help but fall in love with a big, sparkly, princess dress and Marchesa is fast becoming a favourite of mine, they always include so much beautiful detail on their clothes. The icing on the cake are the amazing shoes that were under, these Christian Louboutin 'Bridget's Back' gold ankle boots are too die for. She could have worn slipper under that and no-one would have realised but she knocked it out of the park with these.
Tilda Swinton is a bit of an obsession of mine, who else would dare to wear this look? A white shirt and lemon maxi skirt to the Golden Globes? This woman is amazing and deserves an award for this. She pulls it off to perfection and although I agree a gown is preferred at event like this, I love her for pushing the boundaries and looking absolutely stunning while doing so. Good on her!
